About Dan Fuller

My name is Daniel Fuller, and I founded DGF Capital with a simple long-term objective: to acquire, develop and responsibly own businesses and property for decades to come.

DGF Capital is built on two core activities: Business Acquisitions and Property Development.

Although they appear to be different disciplines, I see them as two expressions of the same philosophy. Both are centred around identifying opportunity, bringing together the right people and taking long-term responsibility for assets that create lasting value.

My philosophy is simple: Buy. Improve. Hold. Never sell.

My journey has been shaped by a combination of finance, construction, real estate and competitive sport. Before founding DGF Capital, I studied Finance with a concentration in Real Estate in the United States, where I developed a strong interest in capital markets, business ownership and commercial property. Alongside my studies, I gained experience in wealth management, asset management and commercial real estate analysis, building a foundation in investment and financial decision-making.

Outside the classroom, I spent many years competing at a high level in ice hockey in both North America and the United Kingdom. The sport taught me discipline, resilience, teamwork and the importance of long-term commitment—qualities that continue to influence how I approach business today.

Following university, I worked across construction and property development, gaining practical experience both on site and in office-based development roles. Working alongside developers, contractors and consultants gave me a deep appreciation for how projects are planned, financed and delivered. It reinforced my belief that successful developments are built through collaboration between skilled professionals, each contributing their expertise towards a shared objective.

These experiences ultimately led me to establish DGF Capital. My ambition is not to build a business around short-term transactions, but to become a serial acquirer and long-term owner whose reputation is built on trust, continuity and responsible stewardship.

My role is to originate opportunities and coordinate the people required to make them happen. Business owners want to retire. Developers want to build. Lenders want to allocate debt. Investors want to allocate equity. Architects want to design. Contractors want to construct. I bring these parties together around a common objective, creating opportunities that might never have existed otherwise.

I believe many of the best opportunities are not found—they are created. They are the product of experience, observation and curiosity. I enjoy solving complex problems, recognising potential where others see obstacles and creating long-term value through disciplined thinking and responsible ownership.

In business acquisitions, I seek to preserve what owners have spent a lifetime building. I believe a successful acquisition should protect jobs, respect an owner’s legacy, provide continuity for customers and suppliers, and create a stable foundation for future growth. Ownership is a responsibility as much as it is an opportunity.

In property development, I believe the work extends far beyond financial returns. Every completed development provides places for people to live, work and build their own futures. I enjoy taking an idea from a blank sheet of paper through planning, design and construction, ultimately creating places that become part of the communities they serve.

Following the sale of a business, I believe the relationship with a retiring owner should continue. Rather than viewing a sale as the end of a transaction, I see it as the beginning of a long-term relationship centred on helping preserve and grow the wealth they have created over a lifetime.

Outside of DGF Capital, I maintain a strong interest in financial markets, capital allocation, mathematics, engineering, operational improvement and leadership. I believe that continuous learning is one of the greatest long-term competitive advantages.

Everything I do is guided by the belief that productive collaboration creates prosperity. Businesses create employment. Property creates places. Capital enables progress. By bringing together the right people, taking responsibility for what I own and thinking in decades rather than years, my goal is to build DGF Capital into a trusted long-term holding company that leaves businesses, properties and communities stronger than it found them.

Man in suit and hard hat smiling.
